High schools need teachers in a wide range of subject areas to provide a comprehensive education. These areas include core academic subjects like English, health, math, science, and social studies, as well as specialized subjects such, IT, the arts (visual and performing),
Tasks
- Assist lead teachers in classroom instruction across various subjects, including English, math, science, social studies, arts, or IT, American history, UK literature, US literature, US government, public speaking etc.
- Support students with bilingual learning needs through tutoring, small group activities, or one-on-one assistance.
- Create educational materials, presentations, and classroom resources to enhance learning.
- Organize classroom activities, learning centers, and student projects.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and cultural exchange initiatives to support student engagement.
Qualifications
- Interest or coursework in education, teaching, or related fields (K–12).
- Good communication skills in English (Portuguese is helpful but not mandatory).
- Flexibility and creativity in working with students of diverse backgrounds and language levels.
- Basic classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and contribute positively to a multicultural learning environment.
