Description
General dentists provide a wide range of services focused on maintaining oral health and hygiene. These include routine checkups, cleanings, fillings, and more complex procedures like, crowns, and extractions when necessary. They also diagnose and treat oral diseases, offer preventative care advice, and can perform cosmetic procedures.
Tasks
- Assist licensed dentists with routine checkups, cleanings, and basic procedures.
- Support patient care by preparing instruments, materials, and treatment areas.
- Observe, learn and practice diagnostic techniques and procedures for oral diseases.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Organize patient records, clinical documentation, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a junior or senior dentistry program.
- Basic knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and hygiene practices.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills in English (Portuguese is helpful but not required).
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.

Laptop or Tablet desirable, office work clothes dress code, bring Sabbath clothes, community service is available, etc. Language and cultural Brazilian classes available once a week.
