Description

An IT professional needs a broad range of knowledge, spanning from technical skills like programming, networking, and cybersecurity to soft skills like communication, problem-solving, and project management. A strong foundation in computer hardware and software, operating systems, and database management is also essential

Tasks

  • Assist with technical support through the help desk, solving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Support the IT team in maintaining and troubleshooting computer networks, including cabling, routers, and switches.
  • Create basic applications, websites, or automation scripts to improve operational efficiency (Dev Mobile, Dev Web, or internal tools).
  • Organize and manage content on Learning System Management (LSM) platforms, including user access and troubleshooting.
  • Perform general computer maintenance tasks, such as system updates, diagnostics, repairs, and equipment setup.

Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge in at least one or more of the following areas: networking, programming, cybersecurity, learning management systems, or IT support.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and basic troubleshooting.
  • Problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn and handle technical challenges.
  • Effective communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus but not mandatory).
  • Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to new tasks, and maintain professionalism in a multicultural academic environment.

Laptop or Tablet desirable, office work clothes dress code, bring Sabbath clothes, community service is available, etc. Language and cultural Brazilian classes available once a week.
